Enbrel

Enbrel was on the market for just five months with reports of thirty patients treated with Enbrel developing serious infections including sepsis. As a result, on May 12, 1999 the FDA announced a new warning would be put on Enbrel arthritis drug labeling. When the warning label was issued there had been 25,000 patients treated with and six of these patients died within two to 16 weeks after beginning Enbrel.

Enbrel was approved to relieve rheumatoid arthritis joint swelling pain, as well as other symptoms. Most commonly, infections included upper respiratory infections and sinusitis. If you have suffered from the use of Enbrel and would like to learn your legal rights and options, please
